In 2009, Reinhard Margelisch founded the brand 7clouds, which began as a commissioned work. It was already clear back then that his brand should be based on the four pillars of responsibility, ecological aspects, economically effective products and the opportunity for creative development. The company quickly developed into a sought-after newcomer in Switzerland thanks to its simple design backpacks. Today, 10 years later, the focus of the accessories is on shaping a rigid material with attention to detail. The most well-known products are the sustainable bags and backpacks tarpaulins (boat tarpaulins). Every product is 100% fair trade from A to Z!

The result of this value chain: Stylish, sustainable and minimalist fair trade bags and backpacks that are perfect for everyday use, be it as a daypack or a minimalist design backpack.

Which sustainable materials does 7clouds use?
GOTS-certified cotton (GOTS – global organic textile standard | organic farming and fair trade production) is used for all sustainable bags and backpacks from 7clouds that are equipped with a cotton lining. Every time you buy a 7clouds product, you choose eco fashion and a fair trade label. This means farmers who cultivate their soil organically and in an environmentally friendly manner and rely on organic cotton (free from pesticides and artificial fertilizers) are supported.
Where are 7clouds bags produced?
All products are produced in certified manufacturing facilities in India (Calcuta). 7clouds ensures that the employees there are paid for their work, as well as a fairly negotiated price that covers the production costs and provides a long-term income.
