At GOT BAG we strive to raise awareness and reduce the increasing plastic pollution of the world's oceans. Our oceans regulate the climate and produce more oxygen than the world's rainforests. They make up the planet's climate. The future of our oceans affects us all!
In contrast to many other producers who use natural plastic to produce yarn, GOT BAG uses so-calledPET recycling as a manufacturing process . One ton of recycled PET saves 3.8 barrels of oil and 1,700 kg of CO2. For every backpack sold, GOT BAG recovers 3.5 kg of plastic from the ocean. GOT BAG sorts the garbage and uses the PET portion (around 1.5 kg) to produce sustainablebackpacks, weekenders and other accessories. The remaining 2kg of recycled marine plastic that cannot be further processed will be sent to the designated recycling chain. GOT BAG focuses all business activities on our regenerative circulation system. The aim is to sustainably preserve and promote global resources in order to minimize the impact on our marine ecosystem. At the same time, the environmentally conscious company reduces its global CO2 footprint through short transport routes between production and extraction of raw materials. The company is currently focusing its marine plastic cleanup activities on Indonesia, one of the global epicenters of plastic pollution. As the world's leading textile manufacturer and its regional proximity to cleaning activities, China proved to be the right production country. There the recycled sea plastic is made into the sustainable GOT BAG backpack. All GOT BAG partners areBSCI and bluesign® certified. In addition, the company plans to collaborate with the Fairwear Foundation to further improve production standards.

Der Rucksack wirkt sehr durchdacht, hat eine praktische Aufteilung und viele Fächer. Ich hatte zunächst Bedenken, ob der Laptop durch die obere Öffnung passen würde, da sie recht schmal wirkte. Funktioniert tatsächlich aber problemlos, außerdem gibt es zwei Wege, auf das Hauptfach zuzugreifen. Die Fahrradbefestigung funktioniert sehr einfach und wirkt stabil. Das Ein- / Ausklappen der Befestigung bedarf etwas Übung, funktioniert insgesamt aber gut!
