The ever-increasing amount of plastic waste in the oceans prompted two friends Benjamin Mandos and Roman Ruster to take action in 2016: the label GOT BAG was founded. What initially started out of a passionate motivation is now a commitment that declares war on the pollution of our oceans. At GOT BAG we strive to raise awareness and reduce the increasing plastic pollution of the world's oceans. Our oceans regulate the climate and produce more oxygen than the world's rainforests. They make up the planet's climate. The future of our oceans affects us all!
In contrast to many other producers who use natural plastic to produce yarn, GOT BAG uses so-calledPET recycling as a manufacturing process . One ton of recycled PET saves 3.8 barrels of oil and 1,700 kg of CO2. For every backpack sold, GOT BAG recovers 3.5 kg of plastic from the ocean. GOT BAG sorts the garbage and uses the PET portion (around 1.5 kg) to produce sustainablebackpacks, weekenders and other accessories. The remaining 2kg of recycled marine plastic that cannot be further processed will be sent to the designated recycling chain. GOT BAG focuses all business activities on our regenerative circulation system. The aim is to sustainably preserve and promote global resources in order to minimize the impact on our marine ecosystem. At the same time, the environmentally conscious company reduces its global CO2 footprint through short transport routes between production and extraction of raw materials. The company is currently focusing its marine plastic cleanup activities on Indonesia, one of the global epicenters of plastic pollution. As the world's leading textile manufacturer and its regional proximity to cleaning activities, China proved to be the right production country. There the recycled sea plastic is made into the sustainable GOT BAG backpack. All GOT BAG partners areBSCI and bluesign® certified. In addition, the company plans to collaborate with the Fairwear Foundation to further improve production standards.

Habe das Vorgängermodell sei Jahren täglich in Gebrauch. Kann mir keinen besseren Rucksack für den Alltag vorstellen: robust, kompakt,sehr praktische Einteilung, alles was ich untertags brauche passt rein. Ich hatte schon viele Rucksäcke, aber dieser ist mein all time favourite. Hält wirklich viel aus, auch die Reißverschlüsse sind nach jahrelangem Gebrauch noch tip-top. Bester Alltagsrucksack ever!
Super geeignet für jedes Wetter! Passt auch gut in den Fahrradkorb. Praktisch auch für Pendler.
Das einzige Makel ist, dass innen mehr Fächer sein könnten zum Verstauen von Portemonnaie, Handy etc.
Es gibt ein Laptopfach, an dem außen noch ein kleiner Reißverschluss ist mit einem weiteren Fach, in dem man aber nur z.b. einen schmalen Notizblock verstauen kann.. Denn wenn das Laptopfach genutzt wird und ein Laptop drin ist, kann das Fach außen mit Reißverschluss nicht mehr so gut genutzt werden für voluminöse Gegenstände, da es dann schon recht eng gespannt ist und nur sehr schmale Sachen dort herein passen. Ein zweites Fach gegenüber wäre klasse, da könnte man gut das Portemonnaie verstauen ohne immer lange danach wühlen zu müssen. Es gibt zwar auch außen an der Seite am Rucksack ein schmales Fach mit Reißverschluss, jedoch ist dieses so schmal, dass geradeso der Schlüsselbund hereinpasst und sonst kaum etwas.
